So I broke down and decided I needed to start a blog. Not because I think I'll have anything particularly fantastic and brilliant to say, but out of necessity. I am the most epic failure of a journal writer and this is the only way I can make myself keeps tabs on my life! So even though no one may ever read this besides my obliging husband, it will be a fun experiment.
My husband Josh and I are having an adventure this summer in the green heat wave of Michigan. I'm an Idaho girl and the humidity here might kill me! We've been living in Utah for the last few years for school. Josh got an internship for the summer at General Motors and we were thrilled since it's where his Dad and brother work as well and we could live with his parents for the summer.
But our biggest life change of all is... ta da!
Yes, we are with child! Well, technically I am:) And we couldn't be more thrilled! I'm about 18 weeks along and don't look at all pregnant. But I've definitely been feeling it. It's so nice being pregnant, at least the first time around. Everyone is so nice to you, they let you eat first and then don't judge how much you eat. On they contrary they say, "Eat more!" It's fantastic! And they let you sit all you want, at least for now. I hear it's not so great when you're having your second, since obviously, that kid won't care if I'm pregnant or not. But for now, I'm soaking it all in!
We're very excited because we get to find out if our baby is a 'he' or a 'she' in a week and a half. I can't wait because then I can go shopping!! I've been waiting until then before I actually look around for baby stuff. Aren't they adorable? Ah, I can't wait!!!
